LOEB

The response to lifelong learning in educational organizations

Project description

Within the LOEB project, empirical studies will be used to examine the actual integration of lifelong learning in organizations within the German education and training system. Organizations from various educational segments in four regions of Hesse and Bavaria will be examined (including elementary, primary, and secondary education, as well as tertiary education and institutions for adult education/further education and social work). Qualitative analyses of continuing education programs, expert interviews, and group discussions will be used to investigate the degree to which lifelong learning has been implemented and to develop a requirements profile for a continuing education module.

The project is being carried out jointly by the Institute for Social Pedagogy and Adult Education at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main and the Institute for General Pedagogy and Educational Research at LMU Munich and is a continuation of the PAELL study.
